After receiving a whitewash in the five-match T20I series against England, the Indian cricket team will now play a three-match ODI series against England. Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made changes to the Indian squad for the ODI series against England and the T20I series against Zimbabwe. Fast bowler Harshit Rana will miss the ODI series against England. Meanwhile, spinner Varun Chakraborty has been ruled out of the T20I series against Zimbabwe. The men’s selection committee has replaced Harshit with Prince Yadav in the ODI squad and Ravi Bishnoi in place of Varun in the T20 squad.

Harshit Rana- Varun Chakraborty out of ODI series

Harshit suffered a hamstring injury during the third match against England at Trent Bridge, the BCCI said. He has been ruled out of the ODI series against England and will be admitted to BCCI’s Center of Excellence (CoE) for further treatment. On the other hand, Varun Chakraborty got injured during the third T20 match. His MRI revealed a grade 2 hamstring injury. On medical advice, Varun has been ruled out of the T20I series against Zimbabwe. He will also join BCCI’s Center of Excellence (CoE).

Team India will make a comeback in the ODI series

India lost 0-4 in the five-match T20I series against England. Now, the Indian team will try to make a comeback in the three-match ODI series. The pair of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be seen playing in this ODI series. After this, the Indian team will tour Zimbabwe from July 23, where three T20 matches will be played.
