Hyderabad: Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president N Ramchander Rao on Friday, October 23, performed an offering to “defeat evil forces,” which he said were plotting regime change in the country.

These forces, Rao said, were seeking to harm India by not only wanting a regime change but also attempting to destabilise it through anarchy and unrest.

“A Yagna for the well-being of our nation and the defeat of evil forces seeking to harm our motherland by plotting regime change and attempting to destabilise through anarchy and unrest,” he wrote on X.

The sacred offering was organised by BJP leader Geeta Murthy Garu, Rao said, adding that they prayed for the peace, prosperity and protection of our nation. “May our country be blessed with divine protection, and may every force seeking to undermine our nation’s peace be crushed.”

He also sought Goddess Durga’s blessings for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praying for him to be granted greater strength to confront enemies.

“May Mother Durga also bless Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji with greater strength to confront the enemies of our nation and lead us towards Viksit Bharat, Viksit Telangana,” the post read.
