Hisar: An 18-year-old youth was stabbed to death on the railway foot overbridge following an altercation at Hisar station on Friday, police said. Three other youths sustained injuries in the attack, while the assailants managed to flee.




Karan , a resident of Jodhka village in Sirsa district , was returning from Salasar to Hisar by train, along with 25 companions, when a dispute broke out between Karan’s group and some other passengers during the journey. The exact reason behind the dispute remains unclear.




As the group headed towards the foot overbridge to catch a connecting train to Sirsa, the unidentified assailants waylaid them and launched a brutal assault with sharp-edged weapons. Karan was stabbed in the chest and abdomen, while three of his companions were also hurt.




GRP teams rushed to the scene upon receiving information and cordoned off the area. Authorities are currently examining CCTV footage to identify and nab the culprits.
