After a 16-year long hiatus, the Gallagher brothers publicly set aside their differences and announced the Oasis reunion tour for 2025. The band split in 2009 when the warring brothers, Noel and Liam, fell out during a backstage fight at a festival in Paris.

Fans have been eagerly hoping for the Gallagher brothers to reunite, so the news was met with widespread excitement and anticipation, as thousands prepared to descend on Liam and Noel's hometown for their first Manchester show in 15 years. In light of the excitement, Trainline has reported a 20% increase in ticket sales to Manchester ahead of Oasis' much-anticipated reunion at Heaton Park, with fans from Norwich, Leeds and Aberdeen leading the charge. This surge in sales suggests thousands of music fans will travel from all corners of the UK to see one of the most anticipated rock reunions of all time.

If you were lucky enough to nab yourself some tickets, Sarah Helppi, UK Country Director at Trainline, urged passengers to 'book as soon as possible to secure a seat' as 'thousands of music fans' will be making the same trip. This can simply be done via the trainline app.

The top ten cities seeing the biggest increase in passenger bookings to Manchester for the Oasis tour are:

  • Norwich: +115 per cent

  • Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.
