News India Live, Digital Desk: Un’S Revelation: On 11 July every year is celebrated as ‘World Population Day’, whose basic objective is to raise awareness on population issues and challenges worldwide. This day has special significance for developing countries, especially for developing countries, where the issue of growing population remains a major challenge. According to United Nations figures and estimates, India is moving faster towards becoming the world’s most populous country in terms of population in terms of population. Currently, India’s population has exceeded 1.4 billion. Globally, the total population has now crossed the 8 billion figure, which shows the rapid growth. Along with this rapid growth of the population, many serious challenges are also arising. Resources, especially water, food and lack of energy are facing. Creating adequate employment opportunities for the growing population, providing quality education and health services to all has become a major obstacle. There is also heavy pressure on urbanization, maintaining clean environment and preparing the necessary infrastructure. Every new person has an additional pressure on the earth, whether it is food security, energy consumption or environmental balance. World Population Day is an important opportunity to discuss these serious issues, increase awareness and find solutions. It aims to underline the importance of family planning, promote gender equality, and empower everyone in making their reproductive health decisions. If these challenges are not resolved in time, it can affect not only the development of India but also global stability. We have to focus on controlling population growth for a permanent future, judicious use of resources and implementing inclusive policies.
