EPFO news (How to transfer PF account online):  The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) provides a financial security cover to private and public sector employees by managing their provident fund (PF). But what happens when you switch jobs from one company to another? Here what you need to do for transferring your PF accounts after a job change.
What details documents do you need?

You will need the following details handy if you want to transfer your PF account online.
UAN or Universal Account Number which is unique for every employee.
Aadhaar number PAN or bank account details which must linked to your UAN.
Establishment number and PF account number of your previous and current employer.
You will also need to fill and submit Form 13 which is a transfer claim application.

Which criteria must be fulfilled?

An active UAN number that must be linked to an active mobile number.
Aadhaar bank details and date of leaving the previous job must be updated in UAN.
Your employer must approve your e-KYC.
The system allows only one transfer request per member ID.

How to transfer PF account online?

Visit the official EPFO website (https://www.epfindia.gov.in/) and login with your UAN and password.
Click Services and choose One Employee - One EPF Account.
Verify your personal information and fill in the information about your previous and present employer.
Click Get Details to display your PF account details.
Choose either your previous company or your country whichever has a digital signature (DSC) to verify the claim form.
Type in your member ID or UAN and click on Get OTP to receive a One-Time Password on your linked mobile number.
Enter the OTP and click submit.
Thats it you have successfully applied for changing your PF account from one employer to another.

Why transfer PF account after job change?
While your UAN remains the same but every employer usually generates different member IDs for their employees making it hard to track savings and other details about your PF because of different IDs. However transferring your PF account after a job change makes it easy to manage all the details and keep a track of your saving in one place.

Noteworthy to mention here that some employers transfer the employees PF account by using their UAN number while others may ask workers to make the changes by themselves.
