Patna. The weather in Bihar is ready to take a turn once again. As the great festival of folk faith Chhath is approaching, the temperature of the state is also gradually falling. Pink coolness is being felt in the morning and evening, while during the day the game of sometimes sunshine and sometimes clouds continues. The Meteorological Department estimates that in the coming days, light rain and fog will be seen in many parts of the state.
Signs of change in weather from October 27
According to the Meteorological Centre, Patna, a western disturbance will affect the western Himalayan regions from October 27. Due to its effect, there is a possibility of light rain or drizzle in some districts of Bihar. Weather experts say that this change may continue till the end of the month. During this period, changes in wind direction and speed will also be seen.

On Thursday, there was partly cloudy sky in the surrounding districts including the capital Patna. The day’s weather remained normal due to easterly winds (Purva), but a drop in temperature was recorded. Patna’s maximum temperature was recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius, which was 1.6 degrees Celsius lower than the day before. At the same time, the highest temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius in Motihari, while a slight increase in temperature was seen in Jiradei, Madhubani, Supaul, Vaishali and Banka districts.
Effect of fog and cold in the morning and evening
Light fog has started appearing in many parts of the state in the morning and evening. Due to this, there is a slight decrease in visibility and people are now feeling the need of sweaters or light warm clothes. In rural areas, people are now seen warming bonfires at tea shops in the morning. Weather experts say that this seasonal change completely signals the beginning of winter.
How will the weather be on Chhath festival?
Since Chhath Mahaparva is starting from October 25 with “Nahay-Khay”, the weather conditions are considered important for the devotees. At present, it is expected that the weather will be calm and clear for the first two days of Chhath, but the possibility of light rain or cloud cover in some areas between October 27 and 29 cannot be ruled out. However, the Meteorological Department says that this rain will be very light and will not have a major impact on the organization of the festival.
