Rinku Singh’s father passes away : A mountain of sorrow has fallen on cricketer Rinku Singh, who was included in the squad of the Indian team in the T20 World Cup 2026. His father Khanchand Singh has passed away after a long illness. He had stage-4 liver cancer. Rinku Singh’s father was admitted to Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida, where he breathed his last.
Rinku Singh’s father Khanchand Singh was brought to the hospital in critical condition. Singh has been diagnosed with stage-4 cancer. Besides, he has also been put on ventilator support due to some more serious problems. At the same time, Rinku had to return home to see her father in the middle of the T20 World Cup 2026, just before the match against Zimbabwe. However, he returned to the Indian team ahead of the match against Zimbabwe on 26 February.
According to PTI, Dr. Sunil Kumar, spokesperson of Yatharth Hospital, Greater Noida, said that Khanchand Singh was suffering from liver cancer. He said, “His condition had deteriorated significantly in the last few days, after which he was admitted to the hospital on February 21. He was put on ventilator support and breathed his last this morning.”
Let us tell you that the early life of cricketer Rinku Singh was very struggling. His father Khanchand used to work as cylinder delivery at a gas agency in Aligarh, UP. Despite financial constraints, he helped his son Rinku fulfill his dream of becoming a cricketer.
