Patna. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has put forward a big vision for the rural development of Bihar. During the public dialogue program in Telangwa village of Katoria block of Banka district, he announced many important schemes and decisions, which will directly affect the lives of villages, farmers and women.

Milk collection center in every village

The Chief Minister announced that milk collection centers are being opened in every village of the state. This will strengthen the dairy sector and farmers will get better prices for their produce. Besides, the scheme of opening ‘Sudha Booth’ at the Panchayat level is also being implemented, which will make the sale and distribution of milk easier at the local level.

Major improvement in health services

The state government is also emphasizing on strengthening health facilities. Primary health centers in all the blocks will be upgraded and converted into better hospitals, while big hospitals at the district level will be further modernized. With this, better treatment facilities will be available in rural areas.

Women got great support

CM said that the government has implemented 50% reservation for women in Panchayat and municipal bodies. A provision of 35% reservation has also been made in government jobs. Through self-help groups, lakhs of women are becoming financially strong and standing on their feet.

Changes in education and infrastructure

The education system has improved through the expansion of government schools and recruitment of teachers. Apart from this, a big change has also been seen in roads, electricity and other basic facilities. Now electricity has reached the villages and solar energy is also being promoted.

Self-reliance in agriculture and production

Continuous work is being done on the roadmap to strengthen the agriculture sector in the state. Bihar has made remarkable progress in grain, fruit, milk and fish production and has achieved self-sufficiency in many sectors.

Villages benefit from better connectivity

Due to improvement in roads, long distance travel has now become easier. The time to reach the capital from many areas has reduced considerably, which is benefiting both business and traffic.
