IPL 2026: The countdown for the 19th season of IPL has started. Before the start of the tournament, 5-time champion team Chennai Super Kings seems to be facing a big blow. According to the information coming out quoting the sports star, the team’s star fast bowler Nathan Ellis has been ruled out of the entire tournament due to injury. This 31 year old fast bowler was included by the franchise for Rs 2 crore. Ellis is currently struggling with a hamstring problem and will not be able to recover on time.
Nathan Ellis’s injury has increased the problems of Chennai Super Kings. This time Ellis was going to bowl in the death overs for the team but has already been out of the tournament. Earlier, the team used to use Mathisha Pathirana for this but he was released after his performance last season. Ellis was also a part of Chennai Super Kings last season but he got a chance to play only in one match, in which he took only 1 wicket. So far he has played 17 matches in the tournament in which he has managed to take 19 wickets.
After the exit of Nathan Ellis, the Chennai Super Kings team is now looking for his replacement. Speaking to Sports Star, CSK CEO K.S. Vishwanathan said, “This is a big blow for us. Ellis is an important bowler, especially in the last overs. We are now looking for his replacement.”
