A solid performance from Mukul Choudhary set up a thrilling 3-wicket victory for Lucknow Super Giants against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2026 game played at Kolkata.


He 54* runs knock off 27 deliveries secured the second victory for the LSG in the final delivery of the game. By this win, LSG made a significant move in the IPL 2026 points table.


After being invited to bat first, Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen opened the attack while Mohammed Shami opened the bowling attack.


Prince Yadav brought the first breakthrough, dismissing Finn Allen for 9 runs. However, a partnership from Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi powers KKR to 56 in the powerplay.


The 86-run partnership came to an end when Digvesh Rathi dismissed KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane for 41 runs. He got dismissed on mid wicket where Shami picked the catch.



Angkrish Raghuvanshi got dismissed for 45 runs by Manimaran Siddharth. Aiden Markram, who was at long, caught the ball at ease, sending the batter to the dugout.


With Cameron Green struggled to score runs, Avesh Khan bowled out Rinku Singh for 4 runs. With LSG bowlers reduced run rate, Rovman Powell started hitting fours and sixes.


In the meantime, Cameron Green got in touch hitting along with Powell. By the end of 20 overs, Kolkata Knight Riders went on to score 181 runs. Rovman Powell remained unbeaten with 39* while Cameron Green scored 32* runs.


Avesh Khan, Digvesh Rathi, Manimaran Siddharth and Prince Yadav picked one wicket each.


Chasing a 182 run target, Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram opened the innings while Vaibhav Arora opened the bowling attack.



Despite a decent start, Aiden Markram got dismissed by Vaibhav Arora for 22 runs. In the same over, Mitchell Marsh also got dismissed for 15 runs putting LSG in tough spot.


With Rishabh pant and Ayush Badoni at crease, Lucknow Super Giants scored 56 runs in the powerplay.


Cameron Green who was introduced to bowling attack, bagged the wicket of Cameron Green, while Kartik Tyagi bagged the wicket of Nicholas Pooran for 13 runs.


However Ayush Badoni made a stunning knock scoring fifity while Abdul Samad and Mohammad Shami bagged lost the wickets cheaply. Ayush Badoni got dismissed for 54 runs by Anukul Roy.


Mukul Choudhary, fought well with a composed knock helping the side to close towards victory. He went on on slam fifty and completed the chase.


Mukul Choudhary remained unbeaten with 54 runs off 27 deliveries which included 2 fours and 7 sixes. Vaibhav Arora and Anukul Roy bagged two wickets while Sunil Narine, Karti Tyagi and Cameron Green completed with a wicket tally.


Lucknow Super Giants will play their next game against Gujarat Titans on April 12 at Ekana Sports Stadium, Lucknow.
