The special thing was that this was their first win against Lucknow at Chinnaswamy Stadium. With this victory, the team under the leadership of Captain Patidar reached the top of the points table.

Great performance of Rasik Salaam

Bengaluru’s dominance in bowling was clearly visible. Rasik Salam performed brilliantly and took 4 wickets, while Bhuvneshwar broke the back of Lucknow by taking 3 wickets. Apart from these, Krunal Pandya took 2 wickets and Hazlewood took 1 wicket.

Batting first, Lucknow team was all out for 146 runs in 20 overs. Marsh played the biggest innings of 40 runs for the team, while Ayush Badoni and Mukul Chaudhary scored 38 and 39 runs respectively. However, the rest of the batsmen could not make much contribution.

This was his first match in IPL as an impact player. With this inning, Kohli also won the Orange Cap and now he has scored 228 runs in 5 matches.

Apart from Kohli, captain Rajat Patidar (27 runs) and Jitesh (23 runs) played important roles in the team’s victory. Prince Yadav took 2 wickets for Lucknow, but could not lead the team to victory.
