NHPC Limited, the Navratna company of the Government of India, has announced recruitment for apprentice posts (NHPC Recruitment 2026). For which the application process has started. Candidates can apply online till 6th May 2026 till 5:00 PM on official website. You can fill the form by going to. Candidates will be appointed at 9 different places in the country including Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh.

All candidates are advised to read the notification before applying. In which all the necessary information to the vacancy is available in detail. The total number of vacancies is 183. The vacancies are divided into different categories according to location and qualification.

Who can apply?

The qualifications have been prescribed differently for different posts. Candidates with BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering in relevant branch can apply for the post of Graduate Apprentice. MBA/PGDM for HR Executive, B.Com for Finance Executive, Graduate in Mass Communication or Journalism for PR Executive and B.Sc (Nursing) for Nursing Assistant.

For the post of Official Language Assistant, it is mandatory to have Post Graduate in Hindi or English. Candidates should have the qualification of BPT for Physiotherapy Assistant and BBA for Supervisor HR. For the post of Diploma Apprentice, candidates should have diploma qualification in the relevant field. ITI holders in relevant trade will be able to fill the form for ITI Apprentice post. The prescribed age limit should be minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years.

selection process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit. Short listing will be done on the basis of marks obtained in 10th, 12th or Diploma and Engineering or Graduation. After this they will be called for document verification. No written examination or interview will be conducted. The duration of training should be one year.

The salary will be this much

After appointment to the post of Diploma Apprentice and Supervisor (HR), you will get a stipend of Rs 13,500 per month. After appointment to the post of ITI Trade Apprentice, a stipend of Rs 12,000 per month will be given. After appointment to other posts including Graduate Apprentice, candidates will be given a stipend of Rs 15,000 every month.
