UP Police Sub-Inspector Next Steps: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) released the results of the written examination for the Sub-Inspector recruitment on May 7. A total of 12,333 candidates have qualified in this examination. Now, the successful candidates will be called for the next stage of the selection process. Specifically, only those candidates who successfully clear the Document Verification (DV), Physical Standards Test (PST), and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be deemed eligible for this post.

It is important to note that the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has implemented very strict regulations this time around; even a minor error could shatter your dream of becoming a Sub-Inspector (Daroga). Therefore, pay close attention to—and strictly adhere to—the points outlined below.

**Errors During Document Verification Can Lead to Complications**

If even a slight discrepancy is detected in the spelling of your name or your date of birth within your educational certificates, caste certificates, or domicile certificates, you may face immediate disqualification. Ensure that all your original documents, along with their photocopies, are ready and in order.

**Physical Test: Fitness is the Ultimate Foundation**

Regarding the Physical Test, male candidates are required to complete a 4.8 km run within 28 minutes, while female candidates must complete a 2.4 km run within 16 minutes. Many candidates make the mistake of beginning their physical training at the very last minute—a strategy that can prove to be extremely detrimental. Only consistent daily practice combined with a proper diet will enable you to successfully clear the physical examination.

**Keep These Points in Mind**

Arriving late at the examination center can result in immediate disqualification.

Take every precaution to avoid sustaining any injuries.

Please note that the UP Police has announced recruitment for a total of 4,543 Sub-Inspector vacancies. The written examination for these posts was conducted on March 14 and 15, 2026, with 12,333 candidates successfully qualifying. Remember: there are over 12,000 contenders vying for just 4,543 positions. This signifies that the competition is fierce; therefore, only your vigilance and meticulousness will ensure that you become a part of the Uttar Pradesh Police force.
