Ingredients

4 boiled potatoes
2 tablespoons cornflour or breadcrumbs
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon garam masala
½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
Salt as per taste
Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Oil for shallow frying

Method

Peel and mash the boiled potatoes in a large bowl.

Add green chilli, ginger, red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, salt, coriander leaves, and cornflour. Mix everything well.

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round flat tikkis.

Heat oil on a pan and shallow fry the tikkis on medium flame.

Cook until both sides turn golden brown and crispy.

Remove on a tissue paper to absorb excess oil.
