A painful road accident came to light on Sunday evening in Paschim Vihar, on the outskirts of the capital Delhi. Four members of a family crossing the road near Multan Nagar on Rohtak Road were hit by a speeding cluster bus. All four members of the family, including a 50-year-old woman, were injured in the accident, which also included two innocent children.


According to the police, the accident occurred around 6 pm on Sunday evening. The victim’s family was crossing the road on foot when a speeding cluster bus hit them hard. The collision was so severe that everyone fell on the road and got seriously injured.


The injured have been identified as 50-year-old Nirmala Devi, 23-year-old Nisha and two minor children. Immediately after the accident, with the help of local people and police, everyone was taken to the nearest private hospital. Later he was referred to another hospital for better treatment. Meanwhile, Nisha and both the children were sent to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital for medical examination.



Bus driver arrested on the spot


Immediately after the incident, the police took action and detained the bus driver from the spot. The cluster bus involved in the accident has also been seized for investigation. The accused driver has been identified as 28-year-old Irshad Ali.


Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections and have started a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident. In the preliminary investigation, there is a suspicion of careless driving.
