Accident occurred due to leakage of molten steel

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam At least 8 workers died after molten iron fell on the premises of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, popularly known as the steel plant. A senior police officer gave this information on Monday.

Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner Shankarbrata Bagchi said he was going to the spot to take stock of the situation. according to police, Molten iron kept in buckets was being transported by crane, Then it fell on the workers, Due to which this incident happened. Police said that the molten iron was extremely hot and its temperature was around 1,600 degree Celsius, due to which the workers got affected and died.
