Airtel’s website and mobile app can now avail ‘Priority Postpaid’ The name has been removed and replaced with new branding ‘ Fast Lane’ has been updated. However, the company has clarified that this is only a change in name and there has been no change in the benefits to the customers and the structure of the plan.
Airtel started this service on May 19, immediately after which a new debate broke out in the internet world regarding Net Neutrality. Experts and critics argued that giving priority to certain customers for better speeds goes against the principles of Internet fairness. Due to this controversy, the company has decided to change its branding.

Airtel has also rejected those claims that giving priority to postpaid will spoil the experience of prepaid users. According to the company, the slicing technology has no adverse impact on the network experience of prepaid users.
