Lucknow. There is a relief news for outsourced employees working in government departments of Uttar Pradesh. The state government is preparing to implement a new system for about four lakh outsourced workers of the state. Under this, employees are likely to get the benefit of increased honorarium and social security facilities.
According to the government’s plan, the new system can be implemented from September 2026. For this, the digital system of Uttar Pradesh Outsourced Services Corporation (UPCAS) is being strengthened, so that all the processes to employees can be completed in a transparent manner.
Special portal will be ready by August
Instructions have been given to complete the special portal being prepared for outsourced employees by August 2026. Complete records of employees will be available digitally through this portal. In this single window system, information of employees, process of new recruitments, honorarium rates and details of facilities available will be recorded. This will help in making the outsource system more systematic and transparent.
Honorarium will be decided in four categories
In the new system, different categories of honorarium have been fixed for the employees. Under this, payment will be made on the basis of qualification, responsibility and work. Rs 40,000 per month for Category 1, Rs 25,000 per month for Category 2, Rs 22,000 per month for Category 3, while Rs 20,000 per month for Category 4. This change is expected to provide economic benefits to a large number of outsourced employees.
Facilities like EPF and ESI will also be available
The new scheme of the government is not only limited to increasing the honorarium, but there is also a preparation to provide social security benefits to the employees. Under this, facilities like Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees State Insurance (ESI) can be provided to the employees. This will provide future security and better working arrangements to the outsourced employees.
Emphasis on making the system digital and transparent
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to make the outsourcing system technology based and in the interest of employees. The aim of the government is to bring transparency in recruitment, payment and other processes to employees. Formation of Uttar Pradesh Outsourced Services Corporation is being considered a step in this direction. After the implementation of the new system, outsourced employees are expected to get relief from many long standing problems.
