The Zimbabwe star all-rounder is committed to playing county cricket in England, a reason he will miss the one-off Test against Bangladesh. The Bangladesh men's team will be touring for a multiformat series starting on June 28 and running till July 19.
The sides will play the one-off Test from June 28 to July 2 before playing a three-match ODI and T20I series. Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed that Raza won't be available for the Test match. The board has granted him a No Objection Certificate (NoC) for his participation in the 2026 Vitality Blast, representing Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
In April and May 2025, Zimbabwe toured Bangladesh for a two-match Test series. Bangladesh won the first one, but Zimbabwe drew the series, winning the second one. The last time Zimbabwe played a Test was in October 2025, when they hosted Afghanistan in Harare and defeated them by an innings and 73 runs.

Richard Ngarava features as first time Test captain for Zimbabwe
Richard Ngarava's appointment as Zimbabwe's Test captain marks a major transition for the country's cricket leadership, as the 28-year-old left-arm fast bowler officially takes charge for the one-off Test against Bangladesh.
Ngarava was officially named the nation's long-term Test and ODI captain back in December 2025 following Craig Ervine stepping down. However, Zimbabwe's lack of longest-format fixtures over the last six months means this upcoming match at the Harare Sports Club will be his official on-field captaincy debut.
Young 22-year-old all-rounder Brian Bennett—who holds the record for the fastest Test century by a Zimbabwean—has been named Ngarava's vice-captain.
Apart from that, the 15-man team features 39-year-old Graeme Cremer, a leg spinner who has not played a single Test match since.
