If a crime or accident happens to you in another city or state, you do not need to go to the police station of the place of incident. You can file a complaint online or offline by going to your home or any nearby police station. That area does not come under that police station, so instead of giving any serial number, the police register the case by giving the number ’00’. This system is called ‘Zero-FIR’.
