New Delhi. Lathicharge and tear gas shells were fired on the youth going to Parliament on the issue of paper leak. Regarding this, social activist Sonam Wangchuk announced to continue her indefinite hunger strike. He says that he will continue his fast until the youth leaders are allowed to meet the MPs or he himself is not allowed to meet the MPs in the hospital.
In a handwritten statement issued from Safdarjung Hospital, Wangchuk said that considering the way the peaceful protesting youth have been treated, I have decided to continue my fast until the youth leaders are allowed to meet the MPs in the Parliament House, or I am allowed to meet them in the hospital. Also wrote further, it is expected that the government will decide the accountability of the Education Minister before this.
He said that a lot of efforts were made to instigate the youth but they should maintain peace, due to which he is very impressed. He said, I appeal to the government to resolve this issue by allowing students to present their grievances before the Parliament. I am confident that the young protesters will maintain peace tomorrow also.
Let us tell you that Sonam Wangchuk was sitting on an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, after which Delhi Police forcibly admitted her to Safdarganj Hospital. Supporters alleged that he was taken away from the protest site illegally.
