Mumbai, August 7, 2026: Yash Sunil Dalal, a Grade 12 student of the American School of Bombay, has made India proud by registering an impressive 90-point gain in his FIDE Classical rating during a successful European tournament circuit. His international rating climbed from 1520 to 1613 after outstanding performances in two back-to-back FIDE-rated tournaments.

Strong Start In Austria

Yash began his campaign at the Austria Wien International FIDE Open, held from June 29 to July 3, 2026, where he produced several impressive results against experienced and higher-rated international opponents. His disciplined play and fighting spirit earned him valuable rating points.
