Discussion on Women’s Empowerment

We Women Want Conclave and Shakti Awards 2026: A significant event is being held today in Delhi to highlight women’s achievements, leadership, health, equal opportunity, and social change. Several prominent figures from politics, sports, cinema, business, medicine, social work, and digital content creation will share their experiences. The event, an initiative of The Sunday Guardian Foundation and the ITV Foundation, will begin at 9 a.m. at The Imperial Hotel and continue until evening.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will be the chief guest. The conclave will serve as a platform for discussion on women’s achievements as well as issues to a changing India and the growing role of women. The event will honor women’s achievements through the Shakti Awards and discuss important social issues.

The Objective of ‘We Women Want’

‘We Women Want’ is a social initiative aimed at bringing sensitive issues to women into public discourse. The platform promotes dialogue on topics such as domestic violence, breast cancer, IVF, single motherhood, work-life balance, and workplace harassment. The We Women Want Conclave and Shakti Awards 2026 will honor women’s achievements and discuss issues that impact their lives and careers.

Event Timeline

The event will begin with a welcome address at 9:00 am. Dr. Aishwarya Pandit Sharma, Chairperson of The Sunday Guardian Foundation, will welcome the guests. The conclave will focus on contemporary issues facing women and their empowerment.

At 9:20 am, women from the sports world will share their achievements. This session will feature India’s first female F4 racer, Shriya Lohia, and former Indian cricketer Anjum Chopra.

At 9:55 am, Rekha Gupta will deliver a speech on women’s leadership. This will be followed by the presentation of the Shakti Awards.

Various sessions at the event will discuss topics such as women’s health, participation in sports, and political representation.
