Giving an important statement on Thursday, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore said that the Quad group is fully united to achieve concrete results to deepen mutual cooperation and promote a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific region.

This statement of Ambassador Gore came to light when he met Australia's High Commissioner to India Philip Green and Japan's Ambassador Keiichi Ono. The main objective of this high-level meeting was to review the upcoming Quad programs and initiatives. The Quad framework comprises India, the US, Japan and Australia, dedicated to working together for peace, security and prosperity around the world.

It is noteworthy that only last month, an important meeting of Quad Foreign Ministers was held in Manila. This meeting was attended by Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi. During that time, the ministers reiterated their strong support for the unity and centrality of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in the Indo-Pacific region.

In the joint declaration issued after the Manila meeting, special emphasis was laid on the fact that the Quad countries are fully committed to maintaining peace and stability in the maritime domain. The leaders discussed ways to promote practical cooperation on issues such as maritime and transnational security, economic prosperity, new technology and humanitarian assistance. This activity of Quad is considered very important in terms of strategic stability and development in the Indo-Pacific region.
