Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: The journey is going to be pleasant and easy for the people traveling daily in Delhi-NCR. Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will soon be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi. At present, the remaining 9 kilometers of Delhi section of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has now come into use for vehicles for trials. This will make the journey from 'Delhi to Faridabad' and Jewar easier. Through this expressway, this stretch from DND Maharani Bagh to Jaitpur Pushta Road is expected to provide a new option to the traffic going towards Ashram, Kalindi Kunj and Faridabad.

Relatively few vehicles were seen on the expressway opened for trials on the first day. One reason for this was that the information about the start of the trial was not widely spread among the common passengers. At present it is being used as a test rather than for full regular operation.

According to NHAI Project Director Dheeraj Singh, this part of the expressway has currently been opened for trial. It is proposed to be officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister. The date of the inauguration program is likely to be revealed soon. The Greenfield Expressway aims to connect Faridabad directly with Noida International Airport. Currently, to go from Faridabad to Jewar one has to travel a distance of about 40 kilometers. Depending on the traffic, it takes about one and a quarter to one and a half hours to go through Mohana bridge on the existing route. After the new road is ready, this journey is expected to be completed in about 25 minutes.

Actual picture will change after completion of Jever connectivity

This section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is important in itself, but its usefulness is going to increase in the future. According to the plan, in about a year it will be connected to Noida International Airport in Jewar through a spur. This will strengthen the road connectivity between Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the new airport. In this series, Faridabad-Jewar Greenfield Expressway is also being prepared. In this approximately 32 km long project, 23 km portion will be in Haryana and 9 km portion will be in Uttar Pradesh.

At present, the trial of this part of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has started, but after the connectivity of Jewar Airport and Faridabad-Jewar Greenfield Expressway, the usefulness of this corridor will increase further. Especially the facility to reach from Faridabad to Jewar Airport in about 25 minutes can prove to be a major achievement of this entire road network.
