Major Office Leasing Deal in Mumbai Region
Accenture Solutions has leased 2.72 lakh sq ft of Grade-A office space from House of Hiranandani in Thane, marking one of the major commercial real estate transactions in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) this year.
The long-term agreement covers office space at the Centaurus commercial tower within the Hiranandani Estate township in Thane. The deal was recently registered and was facilitated by real estate consultant JLL India.
₹1.9 Crore Monthly Rent
Under the agreement, Accenture will pay around ₹1.9 crore per month for the leased premises.
The lease has a tenure of 10 yearsputting the total rental commitment at nearly ₹269 crore over the full period, based on the reported monthly rent.
The transaction highlights the scale of office requirements among large technology and consulting companies as they expand their operations in India’s major business centres.
Accenture Takes Space at Centaurus
The leased space is located in Centaurus, a 21-storey commercial tower with approximately 1.9 million sq ft of built-up area.
The commercial campus already houses several prominent companies, including Tata Consultancy Services, BNP Paribas, IDFC First Bank, ICICI Bank, Bayer CropScience and WeWork.
Centaurus is part of the 375-acre Hiranandani Estate township, giving the development a substantial mixed-use ecosystem within Thane.
Thane Strengthens Its Office Market
The Accenture transaction also underlines the growing importance of Thane within the wider Mumbai commercial real estate market.
While Mumbai’s traditional business districts remain major office destinations, large developments in areas such as Thane offer companies access to substantial Grade-A office space while serving a growing workforce in the extended Mumbai region.
The size and 10-year commitment of the Accenture deal also provide a long-term occupancy anchor for the commercial development.
Mumbai Office Leasing Shows Growth
The transaction comes despite a broader moderation in office leasing across India’s major cities.
According to JLL data cited in the report, gross office leasing across seven major cities declined 4% to 37.90 million sq ft during January-June 2026compared with 39.45 million sq ft during the same period a year earlier.
Mumbai, however, moved in the opposite direction. Office leasing in the city increased 18% to 5.88 million sq ftup from 4.99 million sq ft in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Long-Term Corporate Expansion
For Accenture, the Thane lease represents a significant long-term office commitment in the MMR.
For House of Hiranandani, securing a global technology and consulting company for a decade strengthens Centaurus’s position as a major corporate office destination.
The deal also points to continued demand for large, high-quality office spaces in Mumbai’s extended commercial corridors.
Summary: Accenture Solutions has leased 2.72 lakh sq ft of Grade-A office space at House of Hiranandani’s Centaurus tower in Thane for 10 years. The company will pay around ₹1.9 crore per monthresulting in a total rental commitment of nearly ₹269 crore. The deal comes as Mumbai’s office leasing market continues to outperform several other major Indian cities.
